It's probably the closest thing to the R/B/Y experience in the series - that's the entire premise the producer of the games had in mind "I wanted players old and new to return to their first experience" - X & Y tried to do too many new things all at once (including be easy) and it kinda fell flat on its face.If that's what they were going for, then they failed, because it felt nothing like Gen I. The game was way too linear, and the experience kind of washed out compared to some of the previous entries, save for the story. That's the only thing Black and White really have going for theirself compared to the others (and the animated Pokemon/Trainers, and World Tournament from B/W 2).
