I actually kind of saw this coming. For Mega Man, at least the classic series, they mostly associate the original handheld games with being more or less the original. In fact a lot of the old Game Boy games used mostly the same kind of stuff, even if new stuff was added and stuff was rearranged.

What might have been cool was a Mega Man and Bass reference, since it did get made for the GBA down the line. Sadly, no dice it seems.
