I'd like to add that if the files are stored as MP3 or OGG you can submit them as such, otherwise they should be ripped/converted to WAV.
MP3 and OGG are lossy so they will lose quality if you convert to them. Of course, if they're already MP3/OGG in the first place then that's their original quality, and converting them to WAV does nothing but increase file size.
