I actually like Smash 3DS, but I was always expecting it to be nowhere near as good as the U version. It was always obvious that it would be smaller both in content and gameplay so honestly I'm not disappointed by it at all since my expectations were never very high.
To say that it should never have existed is kind of ridiculous. Were you expecting both games to be the same in every way, except one was portable?
