I am pretty sure that each fighter will get one eventually; it's been pretty strongly implied that that is the plan. It will probably be dependent on how well they sell though, so if you're interested in a certain character getting a figure in the future, make sure you support the sales of the current figures.
I don't think the quality of the Amiibos is as bad as people seem to be acting. I everyone's expectations seem to be set a bit unrealistically high.
I would like to collect them all, to be honest, but being the incredibly poor person that I am, I probably won't be able to buy more than one or two.
