Did you have to post such a huge image? Also, if he's gonna do a sprite like yours, I have a couple suggestions:

Here, I made the nose smaller, because drawing a full nose on a sprite that size looks ridiculously huge. Also, his mouth is too wide and looks like a muppet, and I changed the shoes to work better with the angle his legs are at.
