I don't think that the textures for NSMBWii Bowser are meant to be transparent. You see, some models end up being exported with transparent textures, even though they're not supposed to be transparent in-game.
You can fix this by opening the texture in Photoshop, and then going to "Layer > Layer Mask > From Transparency". Afterwards, you will have to enable "Channels" view from the window on the right, click the RGB channels off, then make the mask visible. Select all and cut the mask, then right-click and delete it. Now, make the RGB channels visible again, and the transparency is gone.
