If you want to be the cool guy, still want a Lenovo machine, and want to play the video game, I would suggest looking at the Lenovo Y line.
I'm typing right now on a Lenovo Y500. By no means is this future-proof, but it's played every game I've chucked at it pretty smoothly. The ones currently out have better mobile chipsets and graphics cards, though - Nvidia ShadowPlay doesn't work on my machine, but does on the next machine up ):
