AFAIK Impa is only in a few of them... like six maybe? That's less than half of the officially recognized Zelda games, not counting remakes. And in a good portion of her considered appearances, she's not even in the game--just the manual. It's possible to have played some of the better games in the series without having ever encountered the character.
