Yeah Pokemon X & Y was trying to be "deep" but fails miserably. This is a problem with many JRPGs today. They end up being pretentious schlock. Seeing that tear drop from Lysandre made me palm my forehead so hard. Its just so cheesy. And that ending with that guy getting reunited with his Pokemon after hundreds of years? My eyes rolled so many times in my head that they popped out of my skull.

Sorry but the whole thing just ruined my experience. I'm just someone who plays a Pokemon game to explore a world, catch Pokemon, train, and battle.
