PROTIP: When choosing background colors for your sprite sheet's background, try inverting your sprite and choosing some colors from that. You'll get some nice contrast if you do that.

Inverting Lucario's sprite, I got some nice muted golden colors. I think they work quite well.
By the way, fantastic job on these sprites! The smaller legs are a definite improvement and I can't wait for your future sheets. You're shaping up to be one of my favorite Nintendo spriters.
