I really hate being that guy, but I'm gonna be that guy.
It's really nice and a sweet homage to your site's legacy - but if I were you, I'd probably have the first paragraph posted on the update page, and then have a jump that leads to the post.

You know, something that leads to the rest of the article, because this is pretty much an article (but it's okay, it's worth the read and the first paragraph really grips the reader)
