TSR's Super Smash Bros Thread|SWITCH HYPE TRAIN NOW BOARDING

You keep momentum with all your jumps, you actually keep momentum from your jumps! Like any other platformer you can run and jump and cover actual distance!! Surprise It also feels so much less sticky too.

Melee's physics are literally the reason I can't play the game or take it seriously, lol

In comparison to Brawl and 4 (even 64, though) everyone just feels like they're made of lead. I've actually played with pals and found myself jumping down pits when I'm trying to recover (but part of it's because air dodging's different than the later games, and I find myself falling helplessly after air dodging)
There's also the whole thing of the twitch reflexes needed to do half the crazy shit you see in competitive Melee. When I play my character always moves around the screen like a shitty slug.

Is there something you've gotta do to do like, half the things you even see in tourneys? Is that why every GameCube controller I've seen other people down have the joysticks reduced to plastic nubs that cut into your thumbs?
