The person who decrypted said items is actually working on a CFW for the 3DS sooooo I think he might be onto something.
bad news: we probably won't be getting those smash ballot characters for a while now

(one of them doesn't even make sense. spoilers, it's a third-party character, but it's not Banjo. Or Rayman. Or Snake.
