Kat are you like intentionally missing the point matrix style here.
No one is praising the background of the Adventure titles or it's level design or any of that. What's being discussed is how the basic controls and mechanics of Sonic Adventure should've been kept and improved upon rather than constantly changing control schemes; since if it were polished (level design included) it'd basically be the near perfect representation of the Genesis Style in 3D. What's being discuuuuussed is how blatantly shallow and monotonous the "Hedgehog Engine" formula is.
No one praised Adventure's story or Chao Gardens at all, and especially not it's camera. You're getting pretty defensive over something that wasn't argued over.
