That's a grey area for me. Any kind of alert/warning that AdBlock is on will be seen as invasive by people who have it on for a reason and as much as I'd prefer nobody use AdBlock here, it's a choice that everyone has and one that I don't intend to try to circumvent. We've made it expressly clear that some aspects of the site break with AdBlock enabled and that we will do nothing to fix bugs caused by third-party code but, at the end of the day, I don't want to do anything shady either.

I usually block that sort of object with my adblocker as well - some sites link it to the same object as the rest of the site, though, in which case I probably shouldn't be on the site to begin with.
