While I'm mixed about the whole idea of censorship, my two cents is that I actually find it a lot more clever if they take adult themes and "disguise" (and occasionally parody) them for younger audiences. Much like Puggsoy touched upon, it allows for adults to get the reference, while kids just assume it's a harmless joke.
