Hello new meme person. I was waiting for someone to post this - and I'm gonna bother with this to tell you it's Fake As Hell. And here's the proof.
To put it simply in the game's language, there is nothing fresh about these. That's a ridiculously generic pose the character's doing (and doesn't even fit with ANY of the current art), and the gun looks too "flat" (every one of his appendages looks like an afterthought - another amateur mistake. You'd think someone who does art professionally for a living would pay a little more attention to the human figure)
Also the clothing is wack as hell (like, it doesn't fit with the game's aesthetic AT ALL)
"Wow, you are looking CRAZY fresh! You should buy this Fuzzy sweatshirt that looks like something you'd see on the spring clearance rack at Walmart"
(by the way, something that would have been waaaay more legitimate in this universe would have been Bowser Jr.'s vandal handkerchief as a "hat" option)
In fact, this fanart showing off Zelda inklings seems way more legitimate - as in it'd have a much better chance of passing in the ingame universe.

The hair doesn't even match up with the inkling hair, but the clothing designs are far more believable, that's for sure.
Also, given your name I assume you've got a good handle on Splatoon's gameplay and would have a basic sense of the game balance, so quick question:
Also this is insanely photoshopped - the font is inconsistent throughout the name of the tee, the kerning is WAY OFF, and the photoshopper OBVIOUSLY chose the easiest shirt to work with - the image is facing forward 2/3 times it appears in the photo. Also, the size of the "perpetrator" logo is inconsistent throughout the image - it's way too large on the Inkling's shirt, and it's even larger in the icon (and besides the fact, most t-shirt prints don't extend past the arm seams on a tee shirt. It ain't fresh)
also, the hugest offender: the brand name of the clothing ingame uses a Wii U system font. That screenshot USES FUCKING ARIAL.
And it's the HUGEST giveaway to these being fake.
In fact, the only one remotely believable out of all these has to be the Petey Piranha artwork - everything else looks hugely inconsistent. They just look more legitimate because someone printed these out at a Kinko's on fancy paper. That's about it, really :/
Nintendo's doing everything right about this game so far. That includes not delegitimizing their newest IP with an incredibly tacky crossover.

Does that even look remotely balanced to you?
It's three-star gear for 5k.
Most three-star gear begins at 9k, like the sweater in that same image. (oh, and the stars are off-center. Anyone with a brain would copy the center star and paste one to the left of the center one, and one to the right of one. But apparently this editor doesn't have any brains)It's three-star gear for 5k.
