I fear that the lack of fact checking and the lack of focus on the actually problematic parts are just going to confuse everybody, especially Nintendo/IS, which might just make them shy away from trying to include characters that might stir up controversy at all...
I'm all for criticizing messed up writing, but you have to base your arguments on what actually happened, or else people are just going to feel assured that all of the criticism, including the stuff that's worth paying attention to, is only a bunch of nonsense
I myself can hardly wait. For the game to reach the localization team's desks.
Honestly though, the entire situation of this game kinda makes me laugh and cringe at the same time.
Laugh because out of all the things you could critique about it (Potentially messed-up writing, copious fanservice, some of the character designs ohhaithar Camilla), the one thing that actually set people into a frenzy turns out to be some royally mistranslated crap that a few overly-sensitive peeps immediately took for granted.
Cringe because said royally mistranslated crap actually comes from one of the biggest scum recepticles on the planet.
