Iwata put tons of man hours into programming Super Smash Bros 64, my first game ever, and Super Smash Bros Melee's release itself. Only HE revived the series for Brawl before calling Sakurai. He reprogrammed Earthbound from fucking scratch, and compressed Gold and Silver enough to allow Kanto.
