I really feel that they announced the NX way too soon. If I'm remembering right, their only reason for namedropping that thing was to reassure consumers that they won't be dropping out of the console market for their new mobile development plans.
Now we have a bunch of folks dismissing the Wii U as a failure (imo, it's far from it), and rushing Nintendo to get the NX out as early as next year... despite this generation's set of consoles still being relatively young (the Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4 are barely even three years old, and the former is one year older than the rest).
