From what I understand it appears that ... only the three characters are transferable to the Wii U version, not the additional story part. So who knows if the map, items, or boss will be available in the Wii U version at all. I guess that makes some sense as it gives some inventive to buy and play the 3DS version instead of just waiting for DLC, even if it does kind of suck.
Bunch of Toon Link & Tetra gameplay footage here:

For anyone who thinks the video is TL;DW, here's the things I noticed:
- Turns out Dragon Roost and Forsaken Fortress are not two new maps. Rather, it's one giant Wind Waker themed map that uses elements from Dragon Roost, Forsaken Fortress, Windfall Island, and Outset Island. Maybe some other things too.
- Tetra's pistol shoots water bullets, which I guess is how they got around Nintendo's no-guns rule. She uses water effects in a lot of her combo-finishers.
- Toon Link has his Hurricane Spin. A couple different versions of it, actually. A longer version that leaves him dizzy and a shorter version which ... doesn't.
- Despite using Owl Statues as teleport points, the song the Ocarina plays does not sound like the Song of Soaring. The character is teleported by being swept up by a passing tornado, which is a reference to the original NES Legend of Zelda ... however it doesn't play the tune from that either, which is weird.
- Chuchu's appear in the game as a special enemy, but since it's in Japanese I'm not sure what their purpose actually is.
