Those tips are a separate mesh on the model, so you can just delete the tips

Thanks for the reply! I did notice that I could just delete it, but the model loses a bit of detail without the tips, see:

I tried editing the color myself, but I can't get the tips to be consistent with the rest of the hair. If there's no way, I could just delete them, but I think they look nice.
