My biggest complaint against what you've said, Kosheh, is just that one type of game has replaced the other almost entirely in the marketplace. The dynamic storytelling, easy-play action games where you can run around while dialogue is going on don't appeal to me a whole hell of a lot, so I've kind of slunk into my retro cave (and indies) for the past decade or so. Here was a game which could have been an awesome visual orgasm fest with gameplay that appeals to me, but they go with something else. The something else that has to be really damn special for me to appreciate it.
So from my perspective the market has been alienating for a little while and they presented something that might be more familiar only to take that and make it alienating as well. While I feel for the people who once were alienated in the past, by replacing one type of game with the other, they're just alienating the market that used to exist.
