you know what I WANT
it'd be really cool if for like the 20th anniversary, Moon and Sun turned out to be actual sequels to Pokemon Red and Blue.
"But Kosheh, we got one! It's gen 2! Thank Iwata and his coding prowess for that one!"
no no no you got the idea but that's not quite what I mean
What I mean is that it's a sequel where literally 20 years have passed since the events of gen 1, there's a furthered knowledge of the study of Pokemon and you play as Red's son and they really make it obvious that Red is your dad. You get Pokemon from your uncle, Dr. Gary Oak, and his grandfather imparts some kind words on you before leaving on your journey and tells you about his legacy and how he's so proud of his grandson who went from a cocky little chump to one of the world's most humbled Pokemon postdoc researchers. :') All the gym leaders acknowledge your dad's greatness and you're constantly living in the shadow of your father until postgame, where you (similarly to how it was done in GSC) find your dad and he actually opens his damn mouth for once before an actually nice ending unfolds with cute cutscenes praising how far you've come, and how it's incredible how proud he is that you've surpassed him and then he comes home and lives happily with you and your mom (Gary's sister rofl) with the closure he's needed all of these years.
A porkymans with a feel-good ending :')
Of course that won't happen, but a gamer can dream. u_u;
