Shit's still happening but it's not a direct threat of violence, but it's...uh well it's political stuff and you know exactly who and what I'm going to talk about. Should America go through with this, shit could very well be happening.


I feel like I'm taking an easy potshot here (and I feel like I wanna make an offshoot topic about politics, eventually) but uh I've been listening to Donald Trump (y'know, the current Republican frontrunner for president of the US, whose rallies are a incredible source of xenophobia and racism) talking at debates, rallies, and other things for the past half hour and...is it just me, or does he really not say anything? I mean, you can argue that a lot of politicians lie, but for someone who "tells it like it is"...he doesn't really say anything.

I can be more presidential than anybody. I can be more presidential, if I want to be - I can be more presidential...than anybody. You know, when I have sixteen people coming at me from sixteen different angles, uh you don't wanna be so presidential; you have to win, you have to beat 'em back, right? And, uh, and - but, I would say more presidential and I've said this a couple of times - more presidential than anybody other than the great Abe Lincoln. He was very presidential, right?

TLDR:

• Donald Trump can be very presidential.
  
• Trump argues that sometimes you have to be "not presidential" in the face of adversary.
  
• Abraham Lincoln was very, very presidential.
  

This guy is literally shitposting at a podium. He never really says anything. All of his sentences are literally

> statement second time
> brief opinion
> statement third time
> statement fourth time
> if at a rally or debate, asserts he can do it better than anyone/"I'll make America great again" so people will applause
> otherwise, throws out a red herring so people will applause despite it being completely unrelated to his statement.

How are people so godawfully oblivious to the fact that he's basically soapboxing during his presidential campaign and literally not saying anything besides "I'll build a wall but Mexico will have to pay for it" and "God I hate Muslims"

I should probably throw this out there but is anyone on VGR who would/actually vote for Trump? We totally won't shit on you for your opinion, but I haven't heard a single intelligent statement for why someone would, other than "Because he is". I'm not sure anyone in our age demographic really could identify with him actually; hell Bernie Sanders is almost 75 years old and I feel like I could relate to him better than anyone in this dumpass race.

Bernie Sanders knows how I feel and he could be my grandpa. How does that even work
