well if you're so big a classical mythology nerd, shouldn't the fact of existing "ostrich harpies" be irksome for you? Like. Harpies are always depicted as being birds of prey.

There's even the Harpy Eagle.

If anything other types of bird monsters shouldn't be named harpies as they're personifications of wind storms and carriers of evil-doers to hell... and chickens aren't really known for being swift and deadly.
