A version of Photoshop CS is needed, as it autosplits the alpha channel. Photoshop Elements doesn't have support for channels, and cannot be used.
Orrrr use Peardian's TextureRemix to split the image into RGB and Alpha images respectively
Oh yeah that exists! Too bad it hasn't been updated. (Has it?)
On another note, has anyone figured out how Kirby's textures work? They are the single most bull**** texturing format I have ever seen.
