I suggest you make their smile curl up with AA, and not with a dark pixel. I think the eyes should be bit bigger. Maybe add some orange to the hammer. I would make the fluff stuff a bit thicker everywhere and add a bit more white.

As for me, I've tried just shortening the legs on the big one (far right):
