But this is exactly what the Super Mario Advance series is. These aren't emulated ports, they're completely remade and optimized to work with the GBA.
You have way more of an argument if you want to talk about LttP or the DKC Trilogy.
Re: SNES YI on VC: I think it has something to do with licensing involving the Super FX Chip.
Being made/optimised to work on another system doesn't warrant full price. I'm not saying they aren't good games, but they weren't completely remade. Zero Mission was built from the ground up. The Mario Advance games may have to have been completely redone to work on the GBA but all (well most) of the graphics were available, the level design, the music etc etc..
Super Mario Advance was the same price as Zero Mission. And Zero Mission was a game with a lot more work going into it.
It just wasn't good value for money.
