Being able to associate with the names genre is important, so I see your reasoning.
Just a random idea: If you plan to incorporate aerial enemies (and have them attack and be attacked differently), you could call attacks that are able to hit them "treble." Attacks that can only hit ground enemies would then be "bass." Attacks able to hit both could be called "clef."
