if you're cool, nice or make good stuff, people uprep you. it's as simple as that. B)

protip: mods and admins can give you more than 1 reputation point. get on their good side by being a good member, and maybe you'll see some of those downreps quicky undo themselves.

I cant help but think "bribery" when i read this lol.

Bit as to the topic at hand, like the others said, be more active and show that you are a good member. I mean talking to members about something and just sharing an opinion can go a long way, both here and irl. Maybe crack a silly joke like i did.... just dont make it cringey.... please.... pls.
