I mostly left because prominent members of the userbase are horrible, but seeing trolls getting handed a seat at the table and a full course meal every single time they ask didn't really help
As for why I spoke up, it's like when I was a little kid watching my dad do a little construction project. He didn't measure beforehand and was just kind of winging it, so naturally it came out wrong. So he tried again, without measuring, and it came out wrong again. Then he tried again. Still wrong. Then he FINALLY decided to just measure the stupid thing and got it right.
Me being an innocent little kid was like, why didn't he just measure in the first place? To which my mom told me, "shh!" to spare his poor pride
But imagine it's years later and my dad does the same god dang thing. I don't think he would, but for God's sake I would be so furious with him like you cannot watch someone make the same mistake for years and not want to slap some sense into them, you've got to be kidding me
When I replied, I thought several members of the staff who should understand this freaking troll cycle by now made the decision, on someone who was about as blatantly obvious you can get with not deserving another chance, so I got really aggravated, but apparently it was just petie who isn't as familiar with the past stuff, so whatever I guess
