Ah, alright. But if you are going to make a real game then go ahead and submit the sprites after the game's release. It's always nice when a game developer supports the site with their sprites.
Unless when they literally make a crappy game just to get their "original character" on the site. (Yes, this happens sometimes.) That's not so nice then and will most likely result in rejection of the sprites. But I assume this is not your primary goal here.
