Anyone else find childhood favorites less fun now?

still cant determine wether or not megaman x is a good game

this is actually kinda a good point.
megaman x, in my opinion, actually has really good game design. the intro level lets you screw around while figuring out the game's mechanics, and the Vile fight's conclusion gets you hyped up like "REALLY? I can be as strong as ZERO? he saved me!!!! i can save little bots too!!!" and then it proceeds like a megaman game - except it's got new mechanics (like upgradable parts, dashing and wall kicks) which make it a lot more bearable for first-time players. like...i don't like the original Megaman games that much, but I really like X...1 at least
