Since the last update, an extra 13 games have been ripped.
shadowman has also ripped this:
Good news: Only 12 games left from the US and there are about 16 games left out of the Japanese library too (well ones that did come out there and not cancelled). It's mostly the light phaser games now. Dizzy is also the 600th sheet, yay!
Bad news: Its slowing down... Games that have already been claimed are perhaps the last ones that I'll be working on this project. Not only that but there is a possible threat so I might be forced to retire due to Article 13.
Progress time and thoughts:
Have claimed most of the games that I would like to do and hopefully get as much as possible. Have a look means possible but doesn't mean that it will get ripped. Plus Winter Olympics was at a time a personal meme game.
Not doing any more games that use the SG-1000 display mode as I don't feel comfortable ripping those. While I could do George Foreman's KO Boxing, I have ripped from this game engine twice now [Game Gear version and James Buster Douglas Boxing] and rather want someone else to have a go.
- Still working on the last Sapo Xule game. While there are only 3 levels in the entire game, it takes time to check. There is an unused Hang On/Astro Warrior menu in the ROM, probably indicated what version was used to hack the game.
- Looked at Monica no Castelo do Dragao. While Monica herself is possible to rip, sadly I would require an expert on Wonder Boy in Monster Land as she changes her palette when she upgrades her equipment. I am awful at this game no matter which version I play and the cheats don't work for me.
- High School! Kimengumi is a bit worrying since most of the ROM is compressed including the dynamic sprites. While I have ripped the uncompressed sprites of Kawa Yui, it isn't all her sprites and the situational ones such as playing the harmonica are dynamic but compressed. There is a Tile Decoder code available but I'm not smart enough to use it because I know nothing about assembly. Put on hold for now.
- Twin Mouse is one of those easy to rip the tiles games but... The game has 8 levels and changes the palette, the last two levels also happen to have different sprites. The game is not fun to play since the collision detection is off meant that there are some unfair deaths. Shame really since it would have been a decent game. Had that not been an issue, it would have been already done.
- Shooting Gallery progress is slow. Needs a good day to get around ripping it.
- The Helicopter from Choplifter has its tiles ripped and have to sort 65 files out. At least the first ever cartridge Master System game is on its way of getting ripped.
- Power Strike 1 The title screen is already done, just waiting until the enemies are finished. Power Strike 2 will take its time but will be done since its a GOOD game.
- Most of Summer Games is compressed via the ROM but can rip the gymnast from it.
- Submarine Attack is ROM compressed but I will find a way of ripping it. It was featured on Bullseye after all along with the Master System as a prize. Bullseye = old UK game show that was well loved.
- Tile arrangement issues with World Games. Not sure whether to keep going or not.
- Cool Spot actually has quite a bit of animation for a Master System game and big sprites too so it will take a few days.
- Not officially but technically is a Master System game, working on an arcade game called Slap Shooter. It's really just palettes since it was ROM ripped and MAME's palette order doesn't match with the sprites. MAME doesn't show the tile viewer btw.
- Some of the games that are already on the site, will go back to for more rips to finish off a bit. James Buster Douglas Boxing in particular. Possibly California Games and Aerial Assault as well if there is enough time.
