That screenshot mock-up is pretty great! Two things, though: (1) contrast should be tweaked between foreground and background, otherwise you might lose your characters in the background (and that'd be a shame), and (2) the trees have a really nice color and texture to them, but they look like stone pillars -- perhaps give them a more organic shape and less kind of "craggy" texture?
