You're not late to the party and it isn't old news. It was still up a few days ago (before 2019) and even recently had an update mentioning the new mobile layout.
I'm guessing its either server related or a failed update, both hopeful guesses. Sprite Database doesn't get as updated as tSR and unlike here, there is only one person running the site. So we would have to wait and see if it goes back up.
