If you mean a mobile game then no. Most mobile games just install executable and basic stuff needed to run. The 2gb "update" is the stuff the actually contains the art assets etc.
And you shouldn't be facing any prompts anyways from apps. You should be extracting straight from the files directly.
*IF* you mean apps on something like console that requires firmware updates that is also a no. Most firmware updates actually contains keys/api changes/etc. But again, most of this shouldn't be an issue as you should be extracting straight from the files.
