Hey guys, brand new account here.
I am looking to start a thread about making every sprite animation in Sonic Advance (GBA) into .gif form. I was thinking we could start with the idle animations for each character, and then go on to do the running animations, attack animations, and the enemy sprites (excluding Dr. Eggman.)
I will start off with some idle GIFs that I ripped myself, including Amy, Tails, and Knuckles. So we've already got those ones knocked out. Then, I was thinking that we could go on to do the extra long wait idle animations, i.e., Sonic laying down with the ellipses ("...") speech bubble. Then, after we get all those done, we can move on to the running and jumping animations. We shouldn't have to worry about the ball form for Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails, since those sprites are pretty much useless. But we can get Amy jumping since it looks better.
Finally, once we get all those done, we can go ahead and upload the enemy sprites, or just do that along the way. If you want to do the Chao animations, you can go ahead and post those, too. Same thing with miscellaneous sprites, such as crouching, victory, or looking up animations. I know that there are loads of sprite sheets that exist for Sonic Advance, with the backgrounds, tiles, enemies and characters. But I rarely see the sprites in an easily rippable gif form, and a lot of animators just settle for a single frame out of the idle animations. Let's change that!
