How to Rip Steam Game Sprites?

It depends on the game, since different Steam games use different game engines and formats. The same tools that would successfully extract sprites from, say, Terraria, would fail when trying to use the same tools for, say, Garry's Mod.

That said, some games do use the same game engines with one-another due to either both games being made by the same developers or the engines in general being ones that pretty much anyone can buy.
