Hello, my name is Dom, and I'm currently working on building my own video game. I'm still very inexperienced at it but I am learning rather quickly and am attempting to build up my 3D Art skills. I have UE4 Tutorials for any code I don't know how to make, alongside its Answers Wiki and Marketplace, I have things in place for animation and motion capturing. However, 3D Art, particularly geometry and textures are something I struggle with. So in the vein of figuring out how to do that, I'm looking into model rips for things like body proportions, rigging weights, and textures for clothing, hair, skin, and the like. I was looking at the current models resource to find things that I need and, for my current phase of the project, I've run into everything I need. However, it doesn't hurt to develop of library of references to learn from.

I take special interest in Anime games and games on the 5th and 6th Generation of Consoles in particular. Those would be the N64, PS1, PS2, GameCube, XBox, and DreamCast in case you haven't fully memorized which generation is which. I am looking at PC Anime games as well, though mostly just as reference for where details on textures can go as opposed to actual geometry. The benefit to using lower poly models for my references is that, as someone who's building a lower poly game, it helps me to note where a polygon should land to get certain anatomical features correct. I generally prefer to restrict my polygon counts to between 2500-5000 poly's and I'll be using everything at my disposal to make a good looking game that's highly optimized. Some tricks I wanted to use ended up falling through but I've still got creative ideas for other methods of optimization.

When I'm not working on my game, I'm working at CVS to obtain money to pay my teammates on my game as well as be able to hire freelancers to take care of some things for me. I'm also going through anime right now, usually it's restricted to the Fate series and Hunter X Hunter for the most part, but I've been known to branch out from time to time, so feel free to offer recommendations.

I hope I can get along with many of you and I hope you're as excited for my future projects as I am.
