For uploads, how large is "too large"?
#1
Some time ago I ripped the entirety of every single sound from Ori and the Will of the Wisps using internal game data to preserve its original development file structure. I attempted to upload it a few months back but it was rejected for having too many files.

Naturally, this leads me to wonder: How many files is too many? There's a lot of sounds in this game (each enemy individually has 100 sounds on average, for example) and I would like to avoid uploading potential hundreds of archives simply out of not knowing where the line is drawn. I think its sensible that I don't upload the entire characters archive, which totals out at 1.6k sounds, but I don't think it's sensible for me to upload each enemy type as an individual archive either. My thinking was uploading enemies by region or general type (where possible) which would create archives with anywhere from 200 to 400 files each.

Overall I am not entirely sure of just how granular I have to be, I feel like it's gonna be a really fine balance so any guidance would be much appreciated. In total, the game has about 7.2k audio files.

For now, I have split the archives either by general type or by region of the world where applicable. The largest pack is 501 sounds which is just all of the variants for SFX of a specific bossfight. The others are < 200 (most around 150). This still feels like a bit too much, but for the vast majority of these, splitting them would just result in the user having to download many files for the same thing.

Thanks for your time folks.
