Assuming you are using a Windows PC:
You can find Steam game files at this address: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
I do not know what game engine Costume Quest uses, but since it is 3D/cartoony/indie I think it is very likely to be a Unity game.
If it is a Unity game, you can extract assets using Asset Studio GUI: https://github.com/Perfare/AssetStudio/r...g/v0.16.47
If it is a Unreal game [very unlikely], you can extract assets using UModel: https://www.gildor.org/en/projects/umodel
