hey so i know this is a super old thread but i finally figured out the skl.pxd issue
all you have to do is rename the skl.pxd file to the same name as the .model file, use this blender addon to import the .model file into blender, and you're golden (you can then export it to .fbx if you want, no need to convert the .model with external programs beforehand)
