Okay...

No, I did exactly what the readme said to do, both with and without -s, twice each, both with the .000 file and the entire game folder, and nothing showed up except one lone midi file that's not even anywhere in the game. Like I said, I'm pretty sure that the program didn't detect anything because even though the image files had the signature, they weren't given the .BMP extension so it was assumed to be a regular data file, the garbage data probably had some file signature that tripped up the scanner. That's just my guess, but I did follow your instructions, it's not my fault that the game isn't compatible.

They just stored music notes most of the time, so poor quality is most likely a result of an inadequate sound bank. Try converting with an OPL3 option, that was the de-facto standard at that time.

Most of the game audio was sound effects and voice lines. They aren't horrifically compressed, but they could be better. I might try loading the files into Audacity to see if that makes a difference. There's not a lot of music tracks, the game was released in 1996 so they aren't even MIDI files anyway, and the game's OST is already on youtube so I'm not focused on that. But if you can point me to a way I can extract the sound effects and voice lines at a higher quality, I'd appreciate it. Smile
