If you can get it look like MMX style I can definetly use him. Would you be able to do a sprite sheet though?
32 bit feel? Not MMX color? I don't understand what you mean. Is it that the outline isn't the correct color? I only used 12 colors for him as well, I didn't feel that the green really fit his scheme with the Brown/Red/Gold. I tried to match the feel that the other bosses you have up.
Too many colors? I used less than Blizzard Buffalo.. maybe too dark? Wow I'm kind of wigging out about this.
I'll gladly do a sheet for him, so long as I can get the feel you're looking for.
I'm really unsure of how I could get it closer to the original quality of Mega Man X... hmm.. if any other spriters are reading this, could you provide me with some suggestions as well?
Ok, I changed the sprite to look more like X-X3 style.
I hope you see the difference.
If you're gonna do the sheet, what kind of attacks would you be able to do?
For sure the missile pack will tilt a bit for him to shoot the missiles. I was thinking he could like open his fist to use some sorta of laser or minigun.
I do see the difference now. The color is lighter overall, more defined shading on the indentations on the wrist bangles.
It's very subtle, no wonder I couldn't see it before. Normally I use the very dark gray BG for my transparency. But I'm way ahead of you on his hands and weapons. I don't have a program to convert to animated .gif format, so I'll try to illustrate it the best I can on a sheet.
BAM!
I'm not done with all his actions yet. There will be an edit that will have more soon.
I can't help but chuckle at this for some reason...
