tarin looks a lot better (not sure if it fit's the style Shyguy Grey is going for though, but still awesome) and the tanooki is looking good so far, keep it up! I may actually help with this project if I have time.
EDIT: I made some stuffs so see if ya like them, I tried to keep to the original size to not mess up anything:
