The SML2 Goombas are way different. BTW, sad Goomba's feet should be blue.

The Goomb's heads are pillowshaded. It's nice but you must be careful with the shading so it doesn't suck.

It would look good without the head pillowshading, just use the AA, put some contrast in the shading, and then the goomba's will look great! I like the lineart.
