Well, I've been in a retro game mood lately. I'll give these programs a go.
Animget seems to be working good, though resizing my emulator to match the original aspect ratio is a bit of a pain. How do you rip them out at normal size and with witch emulator?

It's easy with epsxe:
Task bar -> Config -> Video -> Configure -> Window Mode 320x240
- Scale to window size, keep aspect ratio
- no dithering (fastest)
Here is a working link for version 1.7 (latest) and 1.6 (needed to change discs):

Thanks for the advice dude. Already ripped out a few complete attack animations. Gonna restart soon to get Gweyns sprites too.

ouh, he misses a lot of frames:
- Moving (Battle)
- He gets a shock when Hiro, Ruby and Lucia are entering the room via teleport (Blue Spire Top)
- Casting a spell with closed eyes (Battle)
- The rest of his portraits and without the frame (because the frame is an additional sprite). I suggest PSX-VRAM for ripping them.
There are also a few mistakes:
- His attack animation has 8 frames, not 7
- The groping of his beard has 6 frames, not 5 (Blue Spire Top)
- His name is just Gwyn, without the "Grandpa". The description on the icon says also "Gweyn"
I would recommend to tag the animations with proper descriptions like "Attacking", "Moving" and so on. It's really handy if you want to check if you missed some frames.

Meh. The Portrait is just there for identification purposes and to make the sheet look pretty. Wasnt really going for each and every sprite either, just as many as I could grab. I will rip a few more and fix the name error too, though. Cant believe how many mistakes I made...
And Boom ze! This be my last Revision!

Still not complete:
Quote:- Moving (Battle)
- He gets a shock when Hiro, Ruby and Lucia are entering the room via teleport (Blue Spire Top)
- His attack animation has 8 frames, not 7
- The groping of his beard has 6 frames, not 4 (Blue Spire Top)
I've also noticed that you missed the bad status animation.
All the mentioned animations and frames are on this sheet:

As said, grab them as you want, I don't require credit for it. By the way when he gropes his beard, his hand goes 4 frames down and 2 frames up, this is what these numbers are standing for (in case if you were irritated). He also has 3 different directions for this animation, your sheet has only 2 of them.

Thanks for the missing sprites. I'll be damned if I play through the beginning for a third time. I was going for unique looking sprites, not the animation loop, which was why I was tearing my eyes out looking for the missing ones you mentioned.T_T
And the behind the back beard molesting is done. Its the second set. Thats all I could get from him. Never noticed the Shocked expression and it never occurred to me to get the Status ones. I did, however, grab the animation of him jumping down to the boat and I added him walking south.

For a third time? Wow, that's a really time expensive method.
I recommend to make quicksaves with F1/F2, you can find them in the epsxe folder sstates. And if you need a specific position in the game:
Don't hesitate to ask me, I have every possible savefile for this game (same thing with Lunar SSSC and Tales of Phantasia/Destiny).

Cool! Can I get that folder please? I was planning on doing SSSC sometime anyway. I'm still going to play through EBC on my other emu, but this will make a nice backup so I don't have to start over again to get to a spot. BTW, I am done with Gramps.

No problem, I will upload it tomorrow. All files together have the size of 308 MB.

Sorry, but it's still incomplete:
Quote: - Moving (Battle)

And you made a mistake with a sprite from his shock pose on the upper left side of the sheet. You copied this pose over another sprite.

308 MB? Holy Jebus! Hope thats all of your games.
Huh... did not notice the stray sprite there... BTW, He does have his moving in battle animation (3rd row, 5th set). And I am done with the beard touching animations (1st row, 1st three sets). Got enough sprites of those...

Here you go:
I would really insist that you are using these tags to describe each animation (Moving, Attack, Gets a hit, etc.). It's not because I want to annoy you, but the other characters have far more sprites than you can imagine. If you want to check what you have and don't want to mix up your rips, it's the best method (and easier for the users).
Savefiles are currently loading, I will edit them in this post.

I thank you for the missing sprites, but I be done with Gwyn. Like I stated earlier, I'm not going for a 100% grab rate on these sprites, just tryin to get as many unique sprites (not animation loops) as I can. If I miss a few, meh. Thank you though, for pointing out that they do not simply rotate the sprite animation when they are facing left or right. Forgot about that.
I realize that I have a ways to go in these animtions. Gonna post sample Sprite sheets later so I can get comments on what I be missing so far for the other characters.
The way I tell what animation is which is this way (note the Folders in the side bar)
And I thank you for the save files. These should prove handy in case I miss any glaring animations.

I was concerned about the quality of your sheet and double-checked it:
- missing animations
- incomplete animations
- pixel mistakes
- animations with sprites which are not part of the animation
- useless duplicate in a 2-frame-animation
On top of that, you even refused to add ready-made sprites to get the sheet more complete.
Sorry, but this game deserves a little bit more effort:

@Tonberry: He's playable.
